Although it has had it's ups and downs (what show hasn't?) Grey's Anatomy still knows how to pull my heartstrings and make me feel so many things! These days it feels like I can't go through an episode without tearing up. Mostly it is something to do with a patient - old couples dying together, or a mother having to choose between her newborn babies; or maybe it has to do with our characters - basically anytime a major character dies or any of the major events involving the doctors (bombs, shootings, ferry accidents, plane crashes, etc). Every time I watch new episodes of Grey's, all I want to do is go back and start from the beginning and watch all of the episodes again. Someday, I will definitely do this and when I do that I can give a more definitive answer for "best episodes of Grey's Anatomy", but for now this list will have to do. It literally gave me chills reading about some of these episodes.
This show is equal parts heartbreaking and hopeful, and although I haven't watched ER, it is without a doubt one of the best medical dramas (or dramas for that matter) that has ever graced television. I mean, you don't stay in the prime-time TV show slot of Thursday nights for your entire tenure if it isn't good and you don't have a solid fan-base. Basically Shonda Rimes is everything and I am a proud watcher of TGIT - Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder are also great, but nothing gives me the feels like Grey's :)
I apologize for all the gushing, but after some stressful weeks of being busy and planning my big upcoming trips, catching up on Grey's was like coming home and so I knew I had to write about it on here.
