Whew. a tiring and HOT trip but it was so worth it for us! Heidi and I were great travel companions and it made the drive go very smoothly. It also made the time waiting all day to see Nora more bearable too :) Nora's publicist (I'm assuming that's who she was) even commented that "Wow you guys are still friends after waiting all day?" We replied by saying, "We better be because we drove down here from Boston together and are driving back as well". They were pretty amazed by that, and I like to think that Nora was impressed we drove 500 miles just to see her. On our day in Boonsboro, we bought some books in the bookstore (that took a long time), then had some lunch across the street (and I tried some local MD brews of course), then we saw a sign that Antietam Battlefield was just 7 miles away, so we visited that too. A successful day, all in all.
Bonus #1: If you want to read more about Boonsboro, the town we visited, Nora has a trilogy about three brothers that own an Inn, InnBoonsboro (which really exists and is across the street from the bookstore).
Bonus #2: Since I told you of my favorite books from two of my favorite romance authors, I thought I should let me know my favorite novels from my other two absolute favorite romance writers. I already mentioned Kristan Higgins as a favorite, and the one I love the best from her is Just One of the Guys. The last favorite romance author of mine that I have not met yet (but hope to) is Susan Elizabeth Phillips. My personal favorite is Heaven, Texas, but a great one to start with by her is Match Me If You Can.
