Thankfully, I read up on Yelp for how to get in to the restaurant, and it also helped in how to order. Because there are no waitress here, there is just a kitchen and a bar, and you order your food and pay for it at the kitchen, and then order your drinks at the bar (paying separately). My friend and I sat down at one of the long tables, perused over the menu, and then went up to order/pay. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get the traditional Lithuanian dish "zeppelins" because even though the menu said "Sundays only", it also said call ahead. Whoops, I didn't read everything apparently. Oh well, the rest of the food on the menu still looks delicious, and very close to Polish/Russian/German food, of which I am a fan. We ended up ordering: kielbasa dinner, stuffed cabbage, and the Lithuanian cheese crepes. I also had to order a Lithuanian beer, just because-it's my thing.
Everything was hearty and yummy! The kielbasa was served with sauerkraut (of course), and potatoes. And the stuffed cabbage was served with potatoes and "vegetables" aka more cabbage and beets. The star of the show was absolutely the Lithuanian cheese crepes, served with fresh fruit, sour cream, and maple syrup. Similar to my reaction and love for the cheese blinz from Cafe St. Petersburg, this delightful sweet concoction was the perfect end to the meal. The rest of the menu looked just as pleasing, and I think it'll be a place that I'll check out again. Maybe call ahead for that zeppelins! If anyone wants to venture into the dark depths of SBLC, please let me know and we can go :)
